The Secret Finger News Netwerk
This is the home of the infamous Secret Finger Club. Our exploits may be strange, our ideas a bit "out there", our plans not thought out too well, our sideburns a little too neatly trimmed. You may ask what this club is all about, we'll simply respond, "It's like... wacko..."

avalanches - "gimix" music mix download!!!
i currently have an active link to a 46 minute long mp3 called gimix done by the mix group the avalanches. it was a promotion for their last cd. they are crazy mixers, which normally i dont like, but they do it insanely well. they used tons of old samples and compose them into new songs, their cd was said to be comprised of over 900 samples. anyways, this mix features a lot of cool songs from the likes of bob dylan, de la soul, the smiths, the beatles, old dirty bastard, michael jackson, etc. not the usual techno crap or hip hop you get in a mix. so you guys should all check it out while the link is active. however i can't recommend downloading it if you're on dialup cuz its 68 megs here.
download it here.
The Symbol At the Top Of The Page
Evan, where did you find that symbol on either side of the "secret finger"? I have to know.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!!!!!!

(don't you just love how that phrase catches your attention)
This just in folks, after being sent on a daring mission to recover his Tick T-shirt from the evil Chairface Chippendale, "Tater" Tod Sharp has officially discovered his Secret Finger. The story goes that as he was charging forward to remove the shirt from Chairface's grasp, his obese feet slipped in a puddle of liquid sending him crashing onto his back. What happened next would forever change the world as we know it.
The shockwave caused by his fall sent Chairface flying up into the air oddly enough heading right for The Tater. Who, much like Frodo reaching for the ring, stuck his hand in the air towards the villain's vunerable hiney. When suddenly, a strange aura began to encircle his hand and before Chairface knew what hit him, he got a little (and we do mean little) Secret Finger ass-raping. "Tater" pictured above is seen proudly displaying the shirt he rescued that day. When asked how he felt about finally being a member of the SFG he promptly replied, "SPOON!!!!!!!!!!"

SHAAAAAAAAARK WEEEEEEEK!!!!

this week is SHARK WEEK on the dicsovery channel, so my font is blue and i am writing a report about sharks because i think this blog should celebrate shark week as well. we should try to get the truth out about sharks and not perpetuate fears about them.
SHARKS: The Deadly Jaws of the Sea by Daniel E. Oliver
have you ever seen a shark? maybe you have and it scared you. sharks may be cooler than dirtbikes, but did you know sharks are not actually members of the reptile kingdom, but are in fact animals? its true. sharks are constantly referred to as the alligators of the ocean, but that simply is a false statement.
sharks are blue and gray. they are the largest members of the tuna family. sharks eat chum, plankton, animals, blood and of course kelp. sharks have brains mainly tuned in to smelling for a fight. they can smell an electrical field around their food which is why they attack electric eels and various things so often. most sharks grow up to 180 feet in length and have 5 rows of teeth that grow back whenever one is pulled out. sharks teeth are often found and put on necklaces by surfers.
baby sharks are called pups, but you may not want to play nippers with them like a puppy because they eat meat as well. sharks have up to 100 babies at a time and some are from eggs. when baby sharks, or pups, are born they can swim immediately.
in conclusion, sharks are dangerous and beautiful reptiles of the sea. these alligators are not intending to fight humans, they are just protecting their babies, or pups, so remember they are just as scared of you as you are of them, and they dont have any venom.

evan's quick television rundown
im bored at work and i download a lot of tv here to kill time. so here's a current quick television rundown. "arrested development" had to end early to make way for a new season of "family guy" which mostly sucked, but arrested will be back in september... thank god. family guy with lame political jokes added, or "american dad", was just ok, as it was a little less bland than family guy has been. did family guy really have to do an ep where meg becomes a pop star? jesus, get some plots. on the other hand, "six feet under" is on its final season and it is actually good again. "entourage" isn't THAT great, but its decent enough to watch. i miss "carnivale" so bad, its cancelled. the u.s. version of "the office" had a 6 episode run, and it was actually good, i was surprised. and it got renewed for another season next year. chris rock's new show about his childhood called "everybody hates chris" had its pilot ep leaked online, and it was pretty damn funny, with a lot of great 80s music too. comedy central's new show "stella" is hilarious if you like off the wall crap. "mind of mencia" however, tries to hard and really isnt that funny. i hope d.l. hughley's new show is funny, i think it starts friday. ok im sure none of you care, and i killed 10 minutes of my shift, so i'll stop.

The Walking Dead
For those of you considering joining in on the MMORPG "City Of Heroes" I highly recommend that you log on to "Infinity" server and send me a tell (aka IM/PM whatever). Look for Mr Eff (or Ms Eff, my other character) so you can join my supergroup "The Walking Dead", named so because me and the other 2 guys (I work with both of them) always seem to die...alot. But if you happen about the game, look me up.
ps - The Walking Dead is a comic I've been reading which is a George Romero style Zombie story. Tod you need to buy this comic.

Dave's review of System Of A Down's "Mezmerize"!!
System Of A Down has displayed sophistication and maturity with this album. The former quality can be appreciated in the ease and confidence with which the band handles the material combining an awareness of international methods with local and personal experience. The latter allows them not to overcrowd the imagery and its message, instead relying on a fairly minimalist and clear language. However, although the work is very sonically aesthetic and well thought out, it leaves the listener somewhat cold, receiving it intellectually or theoretically, rather than through emotive sensations which would have been more appropriate considering the character of the reality here.
